Green Gym, the Sonning Common based organisation that involves volunteers in land management projects come to the Well Orchard for their final visit of the year this Saturday. They have been working at the Well Orchard to remove the ever encroaching brambles and thin out vegetation that is cutting out light from the pond. Volunteers are welcome to help from 9.30am until 12 noon this coming Saturday 17th November.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Stoke Row Oxfordshire.

On 20th October 2018 between 04:30 – 05:00, a property in Main Street had an attempted burglary. No entry was gained.

South Oxfordshire District Council is committed to supporting and encouraging more people to volunteer, so we have launched a new volunteering grant scheme to support some of the costs when volunteering.

Residents of Southern Oxfordshire aged 60 and over can sign up for a month’s swimming for just £5 thanks to a special September offer from South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse District Councils and ‘Better’ leisure centres.

Would-be swimmers simply register for the offer by visiting the GO Active Gold website or by calling 01235 422219 by 27th September 2018.
